HOBART, Australia – 11 July 2026 – The emerging Architects Association (AA) is undertaking a national tour, stopping for informal discussions and meetings with professionals and academics across Australian states and territories.
The AA argues that contemporary architectural discourse has long prioritised expedience, pretentious professional ethics, and increasingly obscure academic theory over simple function, honesty and universally legible beauty.
The new Association is dedicated to the preservation and development of traditional architectural design, craftsmanship, and materials to restore and build naturally beautiful and resilient urban environments.
The itinerary is flexible and currently as follows:
- From July 27: Victoria (Melbourne, Geelong)
- From July 30: South Australia (Adelaide, Port Augusta)
- From August 2: Northern Territory (Alice Springs)
- From August 5: Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast)
- From August 7: New South Wales & ACT (Lismore, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra)
- From August 11: Tasmania (Launceston, Hobart)
Other cities and locations are in consideration and suggestions are welcome.
